Thanks for LIKING my page

Thank You, Globe Telecom!

Globe Logo

I am a satisfied Globe prepaid cellphone subscriber for eleven years. My close friends are with Globe as well. When I used to live alone in Manila, Globe was my broadband provider, and still is here in Iligan City. Practically no complaints.

So Globe helping out Iliganon bloggers by sponsoring the Mindanao Bloggers Summit is a generous gesture. Iligan is basically unknown and a small city. Globe still find time to sponsor.

Thank you Globe! Mwaahugz!

Even at a short notice I hope those bloggers in the Visayas and Mindanao can still join the Mindanao Bloggers Summit

No to Israel Partition

I personally support for Israel as one nation, no other nation within a nation partition.

The video below was created by Filipino supporters of No to Israel Patition, also known as Project NOYP (No to Ysrael Partition), basically urging PNOY (President Aquino) to officially say NO to the United Nations’ proposal.

Israel and the Haters

Israel support

Funny how my simple Facebook status update regarding my support and love for Israel got so much comments from the haters. There are only about three of them haters, one is a Muslim, one is Catholic, and the remaining one is atheist I think, not sure though.

The Muslim has the most replies.

May the haters realize how wrong they are, and love Israel in the near future.

In the image, the red are the haters, green is me, gray are my friends who also support Israel.

I Heart Israel

I love and support Israel.

My support for Israel started in 1995. It was not easy at first. My state of mind was still different then, I used to hate America and its allied countries, Israel and the Philippines, the country where I lived.

I often heard preachers about “loving and offer blessings to Israel”, so I made an effort to follow the word in the Bible, in Genesis 12:3, which says “I’ll bless those who bless you; those who curse you I’ll curse.” The “you” refers to Israel.

Recently, Israel is in a political crisis. The Palestinians wanted to have a state inside Israel. Yes, a state within a state.

It will put the Israelis in danger.

Join with me in prayer and offering blessings in word or deed for Israel.

How to Have a Celebrity Girlfriend

Iza Calzado

This is for men who just hopelessly dreamed about having an actress girlfriend or wife. Even for women who want to have a high profiled boyfriend or husband, just follow the basic principles written below.

1. Consider all women equal. I mean, do not consider Iza Calzado or Anne Curtis as unreachable goddesses, and yourself a tiny mere mortal.

It starts with this mindset.

2. Be confident with yourself. As I have said in number one, you’re not a tiny mere mortal, each person is special and think of yourself as one.

3. Hang around where the celebrities are. Either you make the effort to go to places where the popular people hang out or just fate would lead you there. It’s the first way to get the famous actress or politician notice you.

4. Dress up. Wear clothes that’s modest, not too much or not too shabby. Not necessarily expensive, only you can afford, no pretensions. Be presentable to the girl, her family and friends.

5. Love truly. Make sure you do it because of love, and do not make your celebrity girlfriend as an achievement or a trophy.

Prediction: Gloria Arroyo Will be Stripped of “Ex-President” Status

Photo taken from Gloria-Arroyo.com

I’m not really good at prediction. Although I have slightly predicted about Erap’s conviction, but it was my office-mate who was accurate.

Former president Gloria Arroyo will be stripped off the “ex-president” status after the current government’s investigation and a legal procedure to convict her of cheating during her second term.

She may not be sent to prison or pay any amount, but erasing her name from the list of former presidents of the republic is ego shattering.

Your Eyes by La Boum

This song reminds me of my childhood, way, way, way back in the uh, hmmm, okay, 1980s. I miss my sister and brother. Hearing this song makes me remember some memories when we used to live in the same house.

My brother now has his own family, and my sister is working abroad.

Reminiscing my childhood is both sad and therapeutic. Sad because I could not bring it back again into reality, therapeutic because it makes me feel good.

Floating Shit is Good

If your shit floats in the toilet, it’s a good sign that you’re eating healthy food. Foods that make your shit floats are high with fiber.

If your shit submerges, it’s time to change your diet!

Foods rich in fiber helps in lessening heart diseases and diabetes.

Examples of food that are high in fiber:
Fruits: mango, blackberry, raspberry, pear, blueberry and apple.

Grains: spaghetti, barley, oatmeal, brown rice, bran flakes and popcorn.

Vegetables: artichoke, peas, broccoli and sweet corn – make sure all of them are cooked.

Snack and breakfast foods high in fiber that I recommend are Fiber One Bran Cereal, Oskri Fiber Bar, Almonds and Cranberries, Gluten Free, and Benefit Nutrition Simply Fiber Cinnamon Cruchy O’s Cerea, all links lead to Amazon.

Do not overdo the above. Balanced diet is the key. Eating too much fiber will give you constipation particularly if drinking less liquid, and it also increases gas.

Why I Dont Get Starstruck with Celebrities

Starstruck Phil Younghusband

I’ve seen and met quiet a number of local celebrities in Manila. I may look at them and take photos of them. The latter part is what I’m only interested in, taking photos of them and post them on my blog. I’m not just interested or at least I control myself not to get gaga over them. Posing with the celebrities for a photo opportunity makes me uncomfortable.

When I used to live in Manila, I went to a church in Alabang where some singers and actors go to. When there was an event once, my friends wanted me to pose with them with a famous singer, but I politely declined and told my friend that I just click my camera for them.

I’ve met the beautiful Anne Curtis in Bonifacio High Street one Sunday afternoon. Without any effort to control myself not to get starstruck, I just looked at her pretty face, and forgot that moment like it never happened. I only recalled it now, in this post.

So how this ‘not getting starstruck with celebrities started’? It happened about a decade ago, around year 2000. After an experience of low self-esteem and self-confidence attacks, I rediscovered myself and enlightened that I am a special person.

I am not below than any people on earth. Celebrities or people of high regard in the society is not above me. I may still respect them, but getting awe of their stature is not within my personal space.
